Arlington County (VA) Office of Emergency Management, in conjunction with the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, recently provided two training sessions, one aimed at staff training to Minimize Operational Disruption and the second, which was aimed at training lay leaders and volunteers to manage events safely, called Safe Worship. This was the fourth and final workshop offered by Arlington OEM, under a grant from the Dept. of Homeland Security.  The first workshop included primarily houses of worship in Arlington County; the second one was done in conjunction with the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington; and the third and fourth workshops were done in conjunction with the Catholic Diocese of Arlington.   The staff learned a lot and developed many materials for these workshops and will be glad to share them with appropriate, interested persons.
